Habema Distributed Food Packages To Enhance The Relationship With Kiribun Residents
DEKAI YAHUKIMO, Liputan 21.com – One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Infantry Battalion 6 Marines, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Yahukimo Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province.
On Monday, 4 November 2024, the Marines Task Forces, especially the Bravo Post led by Second Lieutenant Alter, demonstrated social concern by distributing free packages of basic necessities to residents of Kiribun Village, Dekai District.
It's not just the Soldiers who are involved in this initiative. The community plays a crucial role as well. In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the Commander of the Marines Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Rismanto Manurung, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Therefore, since their assignment in Papua, the Soldiers have tried to utilize their assignment time by simultaneously conducting Territorial activities aimed at helping the people in the surrounding area.
On Monday, the Marines Task Forces, the Bravo Post, received some residents of the Kiribun Village visiting the Post for social communication.
During their task, the Soldiers didn't just distribute the packages; they interacted and communicated with the residents. In this interaction, the Soldiers' empathy shone through as they shared their love by distributing free packages of basic necessities to the residents. Their smile and joyful acceptance of the packages were a testament to the Soldiers' genuine care.
After the activity, one of the residents, Toni Tabuni, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Commander Marines. God bless you."
Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the Marines Task Forces’ initiative to distribute free packages of basic necessities to the Kiribun residents.
