Southeast Maluku Forkopimda and TNI Institutions Hold Touring, Iftar Gathering, and Staple Food Distribution to Welcome Eid al-Fitr 1446 H
Southeast Maluku, March 22, 2025 – In anticipation of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H/2025 M, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Southeast Maluku Regency, in collaboration with TNI institutions, organized a Waspamgiat Touring event, an iftar gathering, and the distribution of staple food packages to the community.
The event commenced at 1:40 PM WIT, with the assembly point at the Southeast Maluku Regent’s Office on Jl. Abraham Koedoeboen, Langgur. The group then embarked on a route passing through several areas, including Jl. Tol Bandara, Jl. Utama Bandara Ibra - Danar, and several villages in Hoatsorbay District and Southeast Kei Kecil District.
Several officials attended the event, including Southeast Maluku Regent Drs. Hi. M. Thaher Hanubun, Tual Naval Base Commander Colonel (P) Hananto Dwi P, S.T., M.Tr. Hanla., M.M., Tual Military District Commander (Dandim 1503/Tual) Lieutenant Colonel Inf Kadek Muliarsa, D. Dumatubun Air Force Base Commander Lieutenant Colonel Pas M. Junaidi, S.H., as well as representatives from Infantry Battalion 735/NWS, the Southeast Maluku District Attorney’s Office, the District Court, and the Southeast Maluku Department of Industry and Trade.
Event Activities
Upon arrival at Al Mathar Mosque in Danar Village at 4:05 PM WIT, the Forkopimda delegation and participants performed the Asr prayer in congregation. The journey continued to several villages, including Ohoiadar, Matwad, Wirin, Ngursit, Tetoat, and Dian Pulau, where they distributed staple food packages to the local community.
As iftar approached, the group arrived at Al-Manafi Floating Mosque, where they performed the Maghrib prayer, broke their fast, and continued with the Isha and Tarawih prayers. The journey then proceeded to Letvuan Village for further aid distribution.
In his speech, Southeast Maluku Regent Drs. Hi. M. Thaher Hanubun emphasized that the event was a reflection of the government's and TNI’s commitment to the community’s well-being.
“We visited several villages to distribute staple food packages. It is not about the quantity, but rather the sincerity and care we have for the community. Hopefully, this assistance will be beneficial to all recipients,” said the Regent.
Support and Aid Distribution
This initiative received full support from the Southeast Maluku Regency Government and the Department of Industry and Trade (Perindag Malra). A total of 5,835 kg of rice was distributed to 1,167 households across various villages, with each family receiving 5 kg of rice as a gesture of care ahead of the festive occasion.
The event, which concluded at 9:00 PM WIT, proceeded smoothly and safely. As the event chairman, the Tual Naval Base Commander expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in making the event a success.
Through this initiative, it is hoped that the spirit of solidarity and social awareness within the Southeast Maluku community will continue to grow, especially in welcoming the blessings of Eid al-Fitr. (Kef)
